Clarissa – your friendly neighborhood memory magician and photography whiz. But before we get all serious, let's rewind to where this madness began.
Back in the day, I got my hands on this vintage film camera. You know, the kind that was practically a puzzle to reload without creating a film disaster. My parents became legendary Walmart warriors, lugging bags of used film canisters and enduring the patience-testing as wait for our pics to emerge. Ah, the legendary Polaroids were next. You might have heard the myth that shaking them brought out their inner Picasso. Hate to burst the bubble, but nope, it's all smoke and mirrors – trust me, I've tried.
Fast-forward to the middle school chapter – a game-changer, folks. My mom gifts me a digital camera that's so cutting-edge. Hold your horses though – it stored pics on floppy disks. We're talking 25 Mona Lisas per disk, tops. But hey, it was a leap into the future. And guess what? I even scored the gig of Editor-in-Chief for the eighth-grade yearbook. Cue the event photography superhero montage – basketball games, pep rallies, you name it, all that teenage jazz.
High school enters the chat, and ta-da: upgrades galore! My parents get me this sleek digital camera with an SD card, a virtual playground for storing a hundred pics on a 5GB card. That camera was basically glued to me, ready to pounce on life's "blink and it's gone" moments. 'Cause let's face it, our phones were basically potatoes with screens back then.
Fast forward to today, and I'm armed with a kickass Canon camera and an arsenal of lenses that could make a Swiss Army Knife jealous. I've been around the photography block, experimenting with styles and even dabbling in some graphic design sorcery. Yeah, everyone's got a camera in their pocket now, but there's something about a high-res pic that just screams "heck yeah!"

Oh, and meet my not-so-secret weapon – my eleven-year-old mini-me. She's practically grown up in front of my lens, and trust me, she's got "posing for the camera" down to an art. She embodies an innate understanding of angles, lighting, and the art of modeling. Her enthusiasm, particularly in artistic shoots, brings an extra layer of joy to my craft.
